Making a plan

STFU.ai was a web app for arranging events and coffee chats between busy friends. The focus was making it easy for anyone to get started, create a plan, and invite a friend.

Getting out of the way

I put the most care into onboarding and the everyday experience. Someone arriving for the first time should be able to make a plan without having to learn the app. Creating an event, sharing the invitation, and getting an RSVP belonged in one straightforward flow.

Twilio supported that flow with phone-number sign-in and messages around invitations, RSVPs, and coordination.

The backend used Elixir and Phoenix, with a SvelteKit and Tailwind CSS frontend.

In use

The app saw some usage, mainly in New York City.
